10.29.2019 by betsykelleher //

Reading Time: 3 minutes
aging without regret

HOW DID I GET TO BE EIGHTY? It suddenly seems that life has gone by much too fast, and there is so much I still want to do! I remember thinking that being eighty wouldn’t be any different from being seventy-nine, but I may have been wrong. A Professional Photographer’s “Images of Nature”

I met Linda Rosland several years ago when she was taking photos of the mute swans in our area. We have kept in touch ever since. She is a retired nurse and an excellent nature photographer. A Patch of October Blue

10.02.2019 by betsykelleher //

Reading Time: 2 minutes
Patches of hopeful blue sky in an otherwise gray fall sky. Weather affects mood.

It was October 20, 1995, and I was on my way to the barn to clean stalls and lay out feed for my horses. It was a miserably windy, wintry afternoon, with a depressingly heavy, overcast sky. My sinuses were hurting from the cold, and my ears were tickling.
